Terms of Service

1. The service

FeedEcho is a hosted service that monitors RSS/Atom/JSON feeds you subscribe to and delivers new items to destination accounts you connect — Mastodon, Bluesky, micro.blog, Matrix, Discord, Telegram, email, or a webhook — using templates and filters you configure. FeedEcho is operated by Jason Crabtree, Winchester, Virginia, United States (referred to below as "we", "us", or "the operator").

2. Accounts and eligibility

• You must provide a valid email address and a password of at least 8 characters. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
• One person or organization per account. You may not resell access to the service.
• You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Post spam, unsolicited bulk messages, malware, or content that is unlawful in your or our jurisdiction.
• Impersonate people or organizations, or post content you are not licensed to share.
• Monitor feeds you are not permitted to access, or probe/scrape services in violation of their terms.
• Attempt to access other tenants' data, overload the service, or circumvent its rate limits and security controls.

You remain fully responsible for the content your account posts to your connected platforms. We act only as the delivery mechanism you configure.

4. Your content and credentials

You keep all rights to your feeds, templates, and posted content. You grant us the limited technical right to fetch your feeds and deliver posts to the destinations you configure — no other use. Destination credentials (tokens, app passwords, SMTP credentials) you connect are used solely to deliver your posts and are stored as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Plans, trials, and payment

• Plans set resource limits (number of feeds, destinations, posting rates, poll intervals). Current limits are shown on the Pricing page and in your dashboard.
• Trials last 14 days from signup unless extended by the operator, and require a payment method up front — you are not charged until the trial ends. When a trial ends without a subscription, posting pauses — your configuration and history are preserved, nothing is deleted.
• Paid plans are $4/month or $40/year. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the current billing period, after which posting pauses. We refund any charge in full within 30 days, no questions asked.

6. Availability and changes

• The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We aim for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, and features may change or be withdrawn.
• We may modify the service, plan limits, or these terms. Material changes to the terms will be announced by email or a dashboard notice before they take effect; continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
• We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.

7. Termination

You can stop using the service at any time; see the Privacy Policy for deletion of your data. We may terminate accounts that breach these terms or remain inactive beyond a reasonable period after trial end, with email notice and a chance to export connected data where feasible.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operator from any claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you post through the service, your use of the service, or your violation of these terms.

9. Disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind beyond those required by law, and the operator's total liability arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid for it in the previous 12 months. We are not liable for the content of your posts or for actions taken by the platforms you connect.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or the service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Winchester, Virginia, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

11. Copyright

If you believe content posted through the service infringes your copyright, email support@feedecho.net with the details and we will review it promptly.
